IMA Urgent Care & Primary Care Hosts Record Breaking Blood Drive
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Last week, IMA Urgent Care & Primary Care had a record-breaking turnout for their bi-annual blood drive located at The Presbyterian Church at Shrewsbury. On Wednesday, April 17th, 95 IMA patients rolled up their sleeves to donate blood to benefit New Jersey Blood Services.
IMA’s record-breaking blood drive comes at a time when blood donations are at a critical low and the 95 units of blood donated will go on to save up to 285 lives. Donated blood is used to help accident victims, cancer patients, pediatric patients, and those with sickle cell disease.
“Donating blood is a simple act that can be lifechanging for someone. It only takes one hour, and that hour can make a lifesaving impact on someone’s life. We are grateful that IMA’s patients showed up in record numbers,” states Dr. Roger Thompson, President of IMA Urgent Care & Primary Care.
IMA Urgent Care & Primary Care hosts a blood drive bi-annually in the spring and fall at The Presbyterian Church at Shrewsbury.
