IMA Bottled Water Donations Help First Responders Beat The Heat During Emergencies
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Middletown, NJ – IMA Urgent Care & Primary Care hosted their annual Bottled Water and Granola Bar drive to benefit local first responders. Now in its seventh year, the bottled water & granola bar drive netted almost 700 cases of water and 300 boxes of granola bars.
“In our area, most of our fire departments and first aid squads are all volunteer and they rely on donations. Bottled water and granola bar donations are a great way to help our first responders stay hydrated and nourished during an emergency,” states IMA President, Brendan. J. Mulholland, MD.
IMA always hosts this drive in June so that our area’s local first responders have an adequate supply of water in the summer.
Middletown Assistant Fire Chief states, “Bottled water is important to first responders because as we don our fire gear, which keeps the heat out as well as in, we sweat quite a bit, losing precious water. By having water on our trucks, we can replace that water and continue to help our neighbors. During these hot days, this is extremely important to keep us hydrated so we can be ready to help the next member of our community that needs assistance.”
