For Immediate Release – Middletown, NJ – December 20, 2023 – IMA Urgent Care & Primary Care’s annual toy drive is a 6-year tradition. This year, IMA received a record amount of toy donations that were donated to local charities Middletown Helps Its Own and the Monmouth County chapter of Toys for Tots. Over 8,000 new toys were donated to IMA’s two urgent care centers and 8 primary care centers.

This year, Middletown Helps Its Own provided holiday toys and food boxes to almost 400 Middletown residents. Middletown Helps Its Own is an all-volunteer organization that has been aiding Middletown residents for 59 years. The organization hosts a weekly food pantry and helps provide emergency services to Middletown residents.

“Hosting our annual toy drive is rewarding. It’s amazing to see how generous IMA’s patients are. We even have a patient who makes his own wooden toys to be distributed to those in need through Middletown Helps Its Own,” states IMA President and Family Practice of Middletown physician, Dr. Roger Thompson.

On Saturday, December 16th, volunteers from Middletown Helps Its Own loaded up fire engines, first aid trucks and volunteers’ cars to deliver the food boxes and donated toys to almost 400 Middletown residents. Each family received a food box that includes a holiday dinner and toys donations for their children.
